Josh Spoon

Josh Spoon, an artist and producer from Los Angeles, CA combines his early roots in hip hop and elements of electronic music to create releases like Beats to the Future, Man on Mars and Birthday Boy. Spoon’s live sets are a journey of beats and rhythm that gets people dancing and heads bobbing.

Josh has created music that has been featured on Barry Rothbart’s “Streets of Fire" and Transworld Snowboarding’s “The Nation”. Both releases contained high energy songs that stem from two different musical worlds. His influences come from a broad range of music and artists.

Josh likes to mix his influences in his music to make hard beats with soulful groove and melodies. The diverse dynamics are what makes Josh Spoon stand out among other electronic artists. An audience member once said, “It’s like Dr. Dre meets The Flaming Lips”.
